Show, hide and reorder columns
Choose the visible columns, change their order, pin them and adjust their width.
You choose which columns the grid shows, in what order and at what width. These settings are part of the current view.
The column manager
Click Columns in the toolbar. The Edit layout panel shows how many columns are displayed out of the total.
- Tick or untick a column to show or hide it.
- Search columns… finds a column by its name.
- Show all columns shows everything at once.
- The columns are sorted into two sections: Master Data and All channels.
- Drag a column or a group to change its order.
The technical specifications group can be shown as a single column with Show the whole group in a single column.
A column that no product fills in yet is grayed out, with the note “No product has a value for this field yet”.
A column’s menu
Open Column options in the header:
- Select column.
- Auto-size, or go back to Reset width.
- Pin to left, Pin to right or Unpin.
- Hide column.
- Sort ascending or Sort descending.
Add a column
Add column to the left or to the right does not create the column directly: Marcus asks you what this new field should contain, then adds it to your master data. See manage master data fields.
Good to know
- Hiding a column in the grid does not delete any data.
- The field order set in Field management serves as the default column order.
- A required field carries the Required field label in its header.
