Edit products directly in the grid
Edit a cell, copy and paste ranges, fill a value down several rows and undo a change.
The grid is edited like a spreadsheet: you edit cells, copy and paste ranges, and undo your latest actions.
Edit a cell
Double-click a cell to edit it, or select it and press Enter. The editor adapts to the field: text, number, choice list, color, date, tags or long text.
Copy, paste, fill
- Select a range, then Cmd+C and Cmd+V (Ctrl on Windows). A message confirms the number of cells copied or pasted. Cells that would go past the edge of the grid are skipped.
- To copy a value across, drag the handle at the corner of the selection over the neighboring cells.
- Right-clicking offers Copy, Paste, Clear and Ask the agent.
Undo and redo
Use Cmd+Z to undo and Cmd+Shift+Z to redo, or the header buttons. A message “Undone: …” or “Redone: …” confirms the action. If some fields have been changed in the meantime, by you or by an agent, they are left as they are.
Pack products
When you edit a product that is also part of a pack, an Edit a pack product window warns you: the change applies to the product everywhere it appears. Tick Don’t warn me again to stop seeing this message. A bulk paste skips pack components.
Generate from a channel cell
On a channel cell, right-clicking also offers Generate. Generation starts right away, without a confirmation screen, for the selected fields, in the cell’s channel and language. It consumes credits.
Good to know
- A manual change is marked Manual in the field’s origin, and an import never overwrites it.
- Deleting a product cannot be undone with Cmd+Z.
- To change a field on hundreds of products, ask Marcus: he can make bulk changes.
