Product statuses and validation
What each master data and channel status means, and how to validate or invalidate your product pages.
Each product carries a status for its master data, and one status per channel. They tell you where the product stands and what is waiting for your review.
Master data statuses
- Original: the product as it was imported or created.
- Enrichment in progress, search in progress, aggregation in progress, image identification in progress: an enrichment is working on the product.
- Enriched: the enrichment is finished.
- Product not identified: the enrichment did not manage to find the product.
- To validate, Validated, Invalidated: your review.
An error status flags a step that failed.
Channel statuses
- Generation in progress, completed or failed.
- Generation to validate, Generation validated, Invalidated.
- Published: the product page has been sent to the store.
- Not generated: no page exists on this channel yet.
Validate a product page
After an enrichment or a generation, review the product, then:
- Open the product page.
- In the Master Data view or in a channel’s view, open the status menu.
- Choose Validated or Invalidated.
For several products at once, tick them in the grid, then More actions and Change status. See bulk actions.
Good to know
- By hand, you can only choose Enriched, To validate, Validated or Invalidated for the master data. The other statuses are set by Upsellr.
- A value validated by hand is never overwritten by an import.
- You can filter the grid on Status to find everything waiting for your review.
