01What the integration does
Your Akeneo PIM, completed by your agents.
- 01
Import your whole PIM
Products, product models and variants, attributes, families, categories, images and files: Upsellr reads your PIM in the locale and channel of your choice, and recognizes your products by SKU and EAN.
- 02
Audit your categories and families
Upsellr measures, category by category, how often each attribute is actually filled, compares it with your families’ requirements, and spots what is missing or contradictory.
- 03
Build your taxonomy
Link each attribute to the categories where it matters: spin speed in rpm becomes required for tumble dryers, and Lily looks it up for each of them.
- 04
Complete the master data, write the copy
Lily completes each product’s master data, its single source of data: missing attributes, images and documents. Max writes your channels’ names, descriptions and SEO tags from it, and files each product in the right category.
- 05
Enrich your PIM directly
If you wish, the enriched master data and the approved copy go back to Akeneo, in each of your locales: your PIM stays the reference, and every channel benefits. You can also simply read it.
- 06
Stay in sync
Upsellr re-reads your products at the pace you choose, from hourly to daily, and your attributes, families and categories every hour. A product changed in Akeneo is updated in Upsellr, without overwriting what you approved.
02Getting started
Connected in a few minutes.
- 01
Create a connection in Akeneo
In Akeneo’s Connect menu, create an Upsellr connection: Akeneo generates a client ID, a secret, a username and a password.
- 02
Open Connectors in Upsellr
Choose Akeneo: the form asks for your PIM’s address and the connection’s credentials.
- 03
Paste the address and credentials
Upsellr checks access before creating anything: nothing is saved if the credentials are wrong.
- 04
Choose the locale and channel
Enter the Akeneo locale and channel to read, for example en_US and ecommerce.
- 05
Choose the use
Read your PIM, enrich it directly, or both.

04Questions
Questions about the Akeneo integration.
Is the Akeneo integration included in my plan?
It is included from the Scale plan, which connects one PIM. The Enterprise plan connects as many as you need.
Can Upsellr write to my PIM?
Yes, if you choose so. Upsellr can simply read Akeneo, or send back the master data enriched by Lily and the copy written by Max, once you approve it. Your PIM stays the reference for all your channels.
Which data does Upsellr read from Akeneo?
Products, product models and their variants, attributes with their labels, families, the category tree, images and files. Products are recognized by SKU and EAN.
How does Upsellr handle families and required attributes?
Upsellr reads your families’ requirements and measures, in each category, how often each attribute is actually filled. It turns this into a taxonomy proposal that you approve: an attribute becomes required in a category when all its products require it.
Are product models and variants supported?
Yes. Each root model comes with all its variants, sub-models included, and its axes (size, color, capacity) are read from the family variant.
Which Akeneo locale and channel are read?
The ones you choose when connecting, for example en_US and ecommerce: localisable and channel-specific values are read within that scope.
Does Upsellr change my prices?
No. Prices are neither read nor changed for now: they are coming soon to Upsellr.
How often does the sync run?
At the pace you choose: every hour, every six hours, twice a day or every day. Attributes, families and categories are re-read every hour.
