B2B and industry
A buyer doesn’t read a product page.
They check it.
Maximum load, standard, pack size, lead time: a professional buyer compares rated values, not promises. On the phone, the technical sales rep gives them in a minute. Upsellr writes product pages that give them too, with the manufacturer’s figures, across your whole catalog.

- Maximum load

- Lift height
- 85 to 200 mm

01The sector’s challenges
What holds up an order,
and what brings it back.
In B2B, an incomplete product page doesn’t make buyers hesitate: it makes them call customer service, or order elsewhere. Six situations your buyers run into every day, and what Upsellr does about them.
PPE and safety01
EN 388, category II: compliance isn’t guesswork
Gloves, glasses or safety shoes are chosen by their standard and their PPE category. An approximate category is false compliance on a product that protects a person.

The whole catalog02
In stock, 48 h or “avail.”
In industry, lead time is part of the decision just like a dimension. Every supplier writes it its own way, and your filters no longer know what ships tomorrow.

Industrial consumables03
Per unit, per box of 25 or per pallet?
A consumable’s price can only be compared at equal pack size. A page that leaves out the quantity per pack leads to ordering ten times too many, or ten times too few.

Maintenance and lubricants04
An oil isn’t described like a pallet truck
Every family has the values that drive the purchase: maximum load and lift height for handling equipment, viscosity and operating temperature for a lubricant.

On your page

Safety data sheets, manuals and declarations
A lubricant has its safety data sheet, a machine its manual and its CE declaration. HSE departments require them before approving a purchase.

Multi-supplier catalogs06
The same reference, three times in the catalog
The same consumable comes from several suppliers, under several references. Without checks, your catalog shows pages competing with each other.

02The Industry library
Everything an industrial product page needs,
ready to go.
Upsellr gives you a library built for B2B and industry: the catalog’s product families, each family’s rated values with their units and value lists, and the fields that make up a product page in the sector. Your Industry channel starts with it, with nothing to model.
- 10catalog families
- 37technical attributes
- 23ready-made value lists
- 4page fields, each with its instructions
Your channel receives the sector library: its families, their characteristics and their value lists.
The sector’s page template arrives with its sections, each with its own expert instructions.
Every generated page follows this template, with your product’s data.
03The sector’s tone
A sentence without a value
is a sentence too many.
Technical and dense, without addressing the reader: the buyer is a professional comparing references, not a visitor to be won over.
This sturdy, reliable pallet truck is the perfect partner for your logistics! Built to last, it will save you precious time every day.
Maximum load 2,500 kg, forks 1,150 × 540 mm for the Euro pallet. Lift height from 85 to 200 mm. Polyurethane rollers: smooth floors only, not for use on asphalt.
Do
- Rated values, dimensions and standards
- Operating limits, stated as clearly as the use
- Pack size and lead time when the data carries them
- Compatibility with existing equipment, stated explicitly
Avoid
- Superlatives and usage benefits
- Brand storytelling
- Any rated value missing from the sources
04In the sector
One catalog,
four ways to sell it.
Industrial supplies distributorsTens of thousands of references from hundreds of suppliers, in Excel, CSV or PDF catalogs.
Specialist B2B websitesProduct pages buyers can approve without calling, for a catalog that grows every month.
Manufacturers and industrial brandsThe same rated values at every distributor, in every language.
Groups and branch networksOne shared product reference for the website, the branches and the print catalogs.
Your questions.
Straight answers.
What you need to know before you start.
Does Upsellr handle a PPE’s category and standard?
Yes. The PPE category is a closed list of three values in the library: the generation agent can’t make up a fourth. The standard and category are taken from the product’s data and documents; if they’re missing, they stay missing.
My suppliers mostly send PDF catalogs: is that a problem?
No. Upsellr extracts the values from PDF catalogs and data sheets, and every value keeps its source. .xls and .csv files can be imported too, and Akeneo connects for both reading and writing.
Can we produce our own PDF catalogs and data sheets?
Yes, from the Scale plan: PDF catalogs and product sheets are generated from the same data as your online product pages.
What happens when a rated value is missing?
Nothing is made up: the enrichment agent looks for it on the manufacturer’s side and in the technical documents, and the page only quotes values that are in the product’s data. Nothing is published without your approval.
Our ERP needs to receive the product pages: how does that work?
Pages export to .xls and .csv. On the Enterprise plan, the REST API and webhooks let you send them straight to your systems.
