Electrical, plumbing and technical products
A part that doesn’t connect
is no use at all.
Diameter, thread, lamp base, current rating: at the trade counter, the installer puts the old part on the counter and leaves with the right one. Upsellr writes product pages that say just as clearly what the part connects to, with the manufacturer’s values, across your whole catalog.

01The aisle’s challenges
What fits,
and what doesn’t.
Here, an approximate value doesn’t disappoint: it makes the part unusable. Six situations your customers run into every day, and what Upsellr does about them.
Pipes and fittings01
It connects, or it doesn’t
A fitting suits one type of pipe and one diameter, and nothing else. The supplier’s product name gives a number, rarely what it refers to.

16A, 16 A or 16 amp
Every supplier writes current ratings and cross-sections its own way. Your filters can no longer find the 16 A circuit breakers, and two identical cables look different.

Rated current: 16 A, cross-section: 2.5 mm², written the same way on every page of the channel
Technical lighting03
The values are in the PDF catalog
Luminous flux, color temperature, lamp base: the manufacturer publishes them in its catalog, not in the price file. Without them, the customer doesn’t know what they’re buying.

Cables and conduits04
A cable isn’t described like a radiator
Every family has the values that drive the purchase: type, cross-section and length for a cable, power and mounting for a radiator.

Data sheets, installation instructions, certificates
An installer reads the standard before fitting, and a mixer in contact with drinking water has its ACS certificate. Professionals require them to sign off their job.

What calls for a professional
Some installations need a qualified installer, and the page has to say so without dramatizing or downplaying it. A knowledgeable DIYer then knows what they can do themselves.

02The Electrical and plumbing library
Everything a technical product page needs,
ready to go.
Upsellr gives you a library built for electrical, plumbing and technical products: the aisle’s product families, each family’s rated values with their units and value lists, and the fields that make up a product page in the sector. Your channel starts with it, with nothing to model.
- 10product families
- 31technical attributes
- 17ready-made value lists
- 4page fields, each with its instructions
Your channel receives the sector library: its families, their characteristics and their value lists.
The sector’s page template arrives with its sections, each with its own expert instructions.
Every generated page follows this template, with your product’s data.
03The aisle’s tone
The rated value
before anything else.
Technical and direct: the reader is an installer or a knowledgeable DIYer checking compatibility. The answer is yes or no, never “roughly”.
This elegant, modern mixer will bring a touch of comfort to your bathroom! Easy to install, it fits every shower.
Wall-mounted thermostatic mixer, 150 mm centers, offset connectors. Operating pressure from 1 to 5 bar: above that, a pressure reducer is needed. Safety stop at 38 °C.
Do
- Voltage, current, diameter, centers and pressure first
- Compatibility stated as it is: binary
- What calls for a professional, said without dramatizing
- The standard named when the data carries it
Avoid
- Superlatives and vague promises
- Quantified savings missing from the sources
- Any made-up rated value
04In the sector
One aisle,
four ways to sell it.
Electrical and plumbing merchantsTens of thousands of references from hundreds of manufacturers, in Excel, CSV or PDF catalogs.
Specialist websites and online trade countersSpare parts to get online fast, with the right dimension the first time.
Wiring accessory and tap manufacturersThe same rated values at every reseller and in every language.
Retail chains and branch networksThe same product standards on the website, at the counter and at partners.
Your questions.
Straight answers.
What you need to know before you start.
Does Upsellr guarantee that a part complies with the standard?
No. Upsellr picks up the standard and the rated values that are in the product’s data and documents, with their source. A standard missing from the sources isn’t written, and nothing is published without your approval.
My manufacturers publish their values in PDF catalogs: is that a problem?
No. Upsellr extracts the values from PDF catalogs and data sheets, and every value keeps its source. .xls and .csv files can be imported too.
I also sell on ManoMano or Leroy Merlin: how does that work?
Each marketplace listing is written to the channel’s rules: category, mandatory attributes, value lists. Connectors are on their way; in the meantime, the listing exports in the marketplace’s template.
What happens when a rated value is missing?
Nothing is made up: the enrichment agent looks for the value on the manufacturer’s side and in the data sheets, and the page only quotes values that are in the product’s data. An unknown compatibility stays unknown.
My store already has its categories: what happens to the sector library?
It’s a starting point while your store can’t be read yet. As soon as your store or your PIM is connected, your own categories apply, and you can add your own attributes.
