CSV and Excel

CSV and Excel: supplier files imported without retyping, product pages exported in the right format.

Drop a supplier file into Upsellr: the header is found, the columns are recognized and your products updated without duplicates. Lily completes the master data, Max writes your product pages, and you export them in each channel’s format.

01What the integration does

Your supplier files, without copy and paste.

  1. 01

Drop the file as it is

CSV or Excel, up to 500,000 rows: drag the file into Upsellr or into the Marcus chat. The header is found even below the supplier’s letterhead, and the separator is detected on its own.

  2. 02

    Columns recognized, not retyped

Each column is matched to your fields, even when labeled in English, German or Spanish. Uncertain matches go to « To check », an unknown column becomes a new attribute, and the mapping is saved for the next file from the same supplier.

  3. 03

    Update without duplicates

Your products are recognized by EAN, SKU or manufacturer reference. Before the import, Upsellr counts the new ones and those already in the catalog: you import everything, the new ones or the existing ones, and your approved values are never overwritten.

  4. 04

Complete the master data, write the pages

Lily completes each product’s master data, its single source of data: missing specifications, images and documents. Max writes each channel’s titles, descriptions and SEO tags from it, and files each product in the right category.

  5. 05

    Export in each channel’s format

Approved pages come out in Excel or CSV, with the columns in your channel template’s order and the separator of your choice. Your export settings are saved channel by channel.

  6. 06

One file and one goal, Marcus does the rest

Drop the file and say what you want: Marcus imports it, keeps only the useful rows, then offers to enrich and write the new products.

02Getting started

From file to product pages, in five steps.

  1. 01

    Drop your file

In Sources, from the home screen or straight into the Marcus chat.

  2. 02

    Check the columns

They are recognized automatically: only those marked « To check » need a look.

  3. 03

    Choose what to import

Everything, the new products or the existing ones, and filter the rows, for example on a brand or a range.

  4. 04

    Let your agents work

Lily completes the master data, Max writes your channels’ pages.

  5. 05

    Export your pages

From your products, in Excel or CSV, in your channel template’s format.

04Questions

Questions about CSV and Excel import and export.

Which file formats are accepted?

CSV, with comma, semicolon, tab or pipe separators detected automatically, and Excel as .xlsx, .xls and .xlsm. In an Excel workbook, the first sheet is read. CSV files must be UTF-8 encoded.

How large a file can I import?

Up to 500,000 rows per import, within 50 MB for a CSV and 80 MB for an Excel file.

My supplier file starts with a logo and an address: is that a problem?

No. Upsellr looks for the header row in the first 25 rows and ignores banner rows in the middle of the data.

How are the columns recognized?

AI matches each column to your fields, in English, French, German or Spanish. Uncertain matches go to « To check », and an unknown column is proposed as a new attribute with its type. The mapping is saved: when a file from the same supplier comes back, Upsellr recognizes it.

What happens to products already in my catalog?

They are recognized by EAN, SKU or manufacturer reference. Before the import, a free preview counts the new and existing products, and you choose to import everything, the new ones or the existing ones. The values you approved are never overwritten.

Are variants supported in a file?

Not yet: in a CSV or Excel file, each row becomes a product. Variants are read from a connected shop, your PIM or a PDF catalog.

How do I export my product pages?

From your products, a selection or a single product, choose the channel and the format: Excel or CSV, with comma or semicolon. The columns follow the channel’s template, up to 500,000 rows, and the download link stays valid for 24 hours.

Are file import and export included in my plan?

Yes, in every plan. Only the number of active products depends on the plan.
