How do credits work?
What consumes credits, what is free, in what order they are used and how long they remain valid.
AI credits pay for the agents’ work that requires artificial intelligence: enriching products and generating product pages. Everything else is free.
What consumes credits
- Enrichment: collecting data on the web, identifying images, reading attributes from images and documents, aggregating it all into the master data.
- Generation: writing a channel’s content (title, descriptions, FAQ, SEO, specifications), for each product and each language.

What is free
Chatting with Marcus, setting up channels and workflows, imports, exports, publishing to a store, filtering and manual editing consume no credits. These operations remain subject to reasonable use.
Before and after a launch
Before each run, Marcus shows an Estimated cost. Only actual consumption is deducted: a step that does not succeed or finds nothing usable costs nothing.
The three types of credits

In what order they are used
Included credits go first. Purchased credits come next, starting with those that expire soonest.
Track your balance
In Billing, the Usage this month card separates Subscription AI credits from Extra AI credits. The AI credits card shows the Current balance and the credits included at the next renewal. If you have free credits, their expiry date appears there.

Good to know
- When less than 20% of your monthly credits remain, an alert appears.
- Without enough credits, the action is blocked with the Buy credits or View plans buttons. See buy credits.
- Purchased credits are kept if you move to a lower plan.
- Credits are neither refundable, nor transferable, nor convertible into money.
