Answer questions and approve actions

The cards Marcus shows when he needs you: questions, approvals before a deletion, workflow proposals.

When Marcus needs clarification or your agreement, he shows a card in the conversation. Nothing irreversible or paid goes ahead without your answer.

Answer a question

The “Question from Marcus” card can hold several questions in a row.

  • Click an answer, or write your own in Something else.
  • Submit or Continue confirms, Skip skips the question.
  • With the keyboard: the arrows to move around, Space to select, Enter to continue, Esc to skip.

Import the Makita price list we got this morning.

MMarcus

I read the file: 48 products. Two questions before I start the import.

Question from Marcus

Should I update their data with the file's?

12 products in the file already exist in your catalog.

Yes, update everything
No, leave them as they are
Change only prices and stock
Something else
↑ ↓ to choose · Enter to answer · Esc to dismiss SkipSubmit
The second question of a card that holds two: an answer to click, or your own in Something else.

If you have not answered, the “Marcus is waiting for your answer” banner reminds you. Go to the question takes you back to it.

Approve an irreversible action

Before a deletion, Marcus shows the Approval requested card. It asks the question, for example “Delete 4 products?”, and lists under “Will be deleted:” the targeted items, then the dependent items that will go with them. It covers in particular the deletion of products, tags, channels, categories and master data fields.

Delete the 4 Stanley products from the 2019 range, they are no longer made.

MMarcus

Here are the 4 products in question. I'll wait for your go-ahead before deleting them.

Approval requested

Delete the product?

The product will be permanently removed from the catalogue, with its values and generated content. There is no undo and no bin.

Will be deleted:

  • Stanley FatMax Xtreme 0-33-892
  • Stanley PowerLock 0-33-238
  • Stanley Classic 0-42-476
  • Stanley FatMax 0-10-778
This action cannot be undone.
DenyDelete the product
The card before a deletion: what goes, the warning, and the button that names the action.
  • The approve button repeats the action itself, for example Delete 4 products: it carries it out. The card then shows “Action completed”.
  • Deny cancels it. The card shows “Action refused”.

Validate a workflow

For an enrichment or a generation, Marcus prepares a workflow: “Here is the workflow prepared for your request.” The card shows the number of products processed and the Estimated cost, step by step.

  • Run launches the processing.
  • Show the workflow opens its details in the canvas, to check or change the steps.
  • Cancel drops the proposal.
  • Tick Keep these settings for future runs to reuse the same settings.

Good to know

  • An approved deletion cannot be undone: there is no undo and no trash.
  • If Marcus says he is going to generate and nothing happens, look for the proposal card: the processing is waiting for your click on Run.
  • After a configuration change, Marcus may suggest “Shall we go back to …?”. Answer Yes, take me back, No, let’s make adjustments or Something else.
