Publish product pages to the store

Send a channel's generated product pages to the store attached to it, product by product or by selection.

Once a channel is attached to a store, you publish its product pages from the product list. Publishing always happens at your request: nothing goes out without action on your part.

Publish a selection of products

  1. Open Products and tick the products to publish.
  2. Click Export in the toolbar.
  3. Choose the Channel attached to the store.
  4. At the Output step, choose Publish to the shop.
  5. The Fields step shows how many fields go to the store.
  6. Click Publish.

Publishing only acts on the ticked products. With no selection, Upsellr asks you to choose some.

Publish a single product

Open the product’s page, switch to the channel, then click the Publish to the shop icon. The message “Publishing started” confirms it was sent. If the icon is grayed out, the channel is not linked to any store: its export produces a file.

What goes to the store

  • Only the fields linked to a store location are sent, according to the mapping chosen when attaching the channel.
  • A product that already exists on the store, with the same reference, is updated. Otherwise it is created.
  • On Shopify, a new product arrives as a draft. The full rules are in what Upsellr does on Shopify.
  • Categories do not go with the products: send them first with Send to followed by the platform’s name, from the channel’s Categories page. A product already published joins its new categories at its next publication.

Good to know

  • A product without a ready page on the channel is not published. Generate or validate its page first.
  • A channel whose setup is unfinished, or whose page structure is empty, cannot be exported.
  • Publishing consumes no credits.
  • The store’s refusals (missing name, value refused, language not published) appear in the connection’s Log, with the steps to follow. See monitor and troubleshoot a connection.
  • As long as a connection is broken, publishing is stopped.
