Connect Akeneo to import your products

The Akeneo connector imports your PIM’s products, categories and attributes into Upsellr. It works in one direction only: Upsellr reads Akeneo, it does not publish anything there.

Before you start

• Akeneo version 6.0 or later.
• The Scale or Enterprise plan: PIM connectors are not included in the Free and Core plans.
• The owner or admin role in your Upsellr organization.

Create the connection in Akeneo

1. In Akeneo, open Connect > Connection settings.
2. Create a connection whose flow type is “Data source”.
3. Note the client ID, secret, username and password generated for this connection.

Link Akeneo to Upsellr

1. In Upsellr, open the Connectors menu and click Connect on the Akeneo card.
2. Fill in the PIM base URL, for example https://my-pim.cloud.akeneo.com.
3. Paste the Client ID, the Secret, the Connection username and the Connection password.
4. Enter the Principal locale and the Principal channel to read. The channel here is Akeneo’s, not an Upsellr channel.
5. Click Verify, then choose Read my products there.

Import the data

• The products arrive in your catalog through the source created for this connection. Launch a synchronization with Sync from the source’s page.
• The categories and attributes arrive in the master data. From the connection’s page, open the More actions menu and click Import categories or Import attributes.

Good to know

• If it fails, the message “Could not connect to Akeneo: check your credentials” appears. Check the URL and the four credentials of the Akeneo connection.
• The locale and the channel chosen determine the values read. To read another Akeneo channel, edit the connection.
• Upsellr does not publish to Akeneo. To send your product pages back, connect a PrestaShop or Shopify store.
• The More actions menu also offers Verify connection to test the link at any time.
