Connect a PrestaShop store

Install the Upsellr module on your store, then link the two with the pairing key.

The PrestaShop connection goes through an Upsellr module installed on your store. The module shows a pairing key, which you paste into Upsellr to link the two.

Before you start

  • A PrestaShop store, version 1.7 or later.
  • Access to the store’s back office to install a module.
  • The owner or admin role in your Upsellr organization.

Connect the store

  1. Open the Connectors menu.
  2. On the PrestaShop card, in the Available section, click Connect.
  3. Click Download the module to get the latest version.
  4. In the PrestaShop back office, install the module from the module manager, by uploading the downloaded file.
  5. Open the module’s configuration page and copy the Pairing key.
  6. Go back to Upsellr. Enter the Store address, for example https://www.my-store.com, then paste the key.
  7. Click Verify. Upsellr contacts the store and creates the connection if it responds.
  8. Choose what the connection is for: Read my products there, Publish my content there, or I will decide later.

If you choose publishing, Upsellr then offers to attach the store to a channel.

If the connection fails

The message “Could not connect to PrestaShop: check the shop URL and pairing key” means the store did not respond or the key was refused. Check that:

  • the address is the store’s, without a path to the back office;
  • the key was copied in full, without spaces;
  • the module is installed and enabled.

Good to know

  • Each connected store counts toward your plan’s limit: 1 store on Free and Core, 3 on Scale, unlimited on Enterprise.
  • When a new version of the module comes out, Upsellr shows it on the connection. The steps to follow are in monitor and troubleshoot a connection.
  • Nothing is saved as long as the store does not respond: you can try again without any risk of creating a duplicate connection.
