Generation: Max writes the product pages for each channel

How Max writes each channel's content from the master data, in each language, and what a product page costs.

Generation writes the content of your product pages for a sales channel. Max, the generation agent, takes care of it, from each product’s master data.

What Max writes

Max follows the channel’s page template (see the product page template). Depending on this template, he produces:

  • the title;
  • the descriptions and written sections;
  • the FAQ;
  • the SEO block: meta title and meta description;
  • the technical specifications;
  • the selection of images and their alt texts, brought in line with the channel’s requirements;
  • the product’s category in the channel’s tree.

He writes in all the channel’s languages and applies its tone of voice, its forbidden words and its rules. The same product can therefore have a different page on each channel, from a single master data record.

Fields whose source is Master data are copied as they are, and Fixed text fields are written identically: neither costs any credits.

What it costs

The cost is calculated per product, per channel and per language:

  • title: 1 credit;
  • SEO: 1 credit;
  • FAQ: 2 credits;
  • technical specifications: 1 credit;
  • images: 2 credits;
  • documents: 0 credits;
  • written content: 1 credit per started batch of 3 fields.

Each additional language costs two thirds of the first, rounded up to the next credit. A complete product page generally costs about ten credits.

A product page’s statuses

During the work, the channel’s page shows “Generation in progress”. Once finished, it moves to “Generation to validate” and waits for your review (see review and validate). If a visual does not meet the channel’s requirements, the status becomes “Completed with image errors”.

Good to know

  • Max writes from the master data: the more complete it is, the more precise the page. Remember to enrich your products before generating.
  • A generation always targets a channel. If you do not name one, Marcus asks you which one.
  • You cannot write directly to Max: everything goes through Marcus.
